‘Foal Play’
1-2 player /or team/ game.
Make your way through textures of the traditional Norse tale of the Seven Foals, by stitching a path of surfaces that you wish to connect.
Just like Askeladden of the original tale, you win when you run past the traps and collect treasures on your journey back to safe land.
The game and public interaction is part of the design development of a tapestry that explores narrative through the sense of touch, and composition of storytelling.
I am now using the loom and material from #mood to make a tapestry in my new elective (see attached photo), meaning that a product will not be finished in time for this show. If I exhibit, it will be as wip – with the loom set up (woven further than image below) and with a Bela set connected to it, more as a test than final experience. I would use the show as research for how people connect and react with it. However, I understand that it may not be to the finished standards that you/Kevin wish to show.
